New Zealand:

Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA):

The RMA governs environmental management in New Zealand, emphasizing sustainable resource use. It requires businesses to : Obtain environmental permits for activities that may affect air, water, and land quality. Implement practices to prevent environmental harm during industrial operations. Ensure compliance with national environmental standards and regional plans.

New Zealand Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Regulations:

The EPA provides guidelines and ensures compliance with environmental protection laws, addressing:
  Waste management and pollution control.
  Pesticides and chemicals handling.
  Impact assessments for projects that may affect the environment.

Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular safety audits and environmental impact assessments.

Training and Education:

Provide ongoing training to workers on safe work practices, environmental sustainability, and emergency response.

Emergency Preparedness:

Develop and implement emergency response plans for incidents such as chemical spills, fires, or natural disasters.

Continuous Improvement:

Review and improve HSE management systems based on feedback, audits, and evolving regulations.
